3-Day Family Itinerary
Aspen Meadows Resort is an idyllic playground for families looking to unplug, rconnect and explore together. This 3-day adventure combines immersive experiences with art, history, nature, and more in Aspen’s scenic west end.

Day 1: Afternoon
Upon check-in, rent a polaroid camera from the front desk and set out to explore our 40-acres to search for natural items across our campus guided by our Nature and Wildlife Scavenger Hunts. From bird watching to rock balancing and more, our scavenger hunts encourage guests to absorb the beauty that surrounds us, including the Roaring Fork River and dreamy sunsets over the mountains. Our wildlife scavenger hunt is perfect for younger adventurers identifying shapes, colors and touch points. Little explorers who finish the hunt will be rewarded with a sweet prize from our front desk team.

Day 1: Evening
Retreat back to your spacious suite and order in-room dining while you relax during a family movie night. Watch the sun go down over the mountains through the tall windows and rest up for a day of family adventures ahead.

Day 2: Morning
Try something new from the homemade pastry counter at Meadows Café while lounging on the patio. After breakfast, enjoy complimentary bike rentals as part of your stay and take a sightseeing ride across our property. Cruise through Anderson Park and take in the scenic views while enjoying a leisurely ride.

Day 2: Afternoon
Set out on a family excursion to the Maroon Bells, located just 15 minutes from the resort. From meadows of vibrant wildflowers to airy groves of Aspen trees and the summit-based alpine tundra, the Maroon Bells promise a variety of natural habitats and a diverse, vivid representation of the wild Elk Mountain range. With six scenic hiking trails, various camping sites, and biking paths, visitors can enjoy multiple ways to access Aspen’s natural marvels and endless mountain adventure any time of year.
During ski season, shuttle to one of four world-class mountains within minutes for a ski or snowboarding excursion. Whether you’re a seasoned skier or a first-time visitor, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain and Aspen Snowmass deliver unparalleled ski and snowboarding experiences, from sweeping views at the summit to perfectly groomed runs.

Day 2: Evening
Retreat to the dining room at West End Social for a variety of locally inspired flavors sourced from the rockies. Refined entrees, wines, and craft cocktails are available for parents, while kids can select from a curated menu of their own. Discuss your favorite part of the trip so far as you admire sunset through the tall restaurant windows.

Day 3: Morning
Get an active start to the day at our on-property Tennis and Pickleball Center, which includes three tennis courts and six pickleball courts. More advanced players can rent out the court for a friendly competition, while beginners can reserve a private lesson with the pros to learn game fundamentals. Our partnership with Cascades Tennis offers a variety of clinics throughout the summer including junior programming starting in June.

Day 3: Afternoon
Make the most of the mountain air and open skies with our Picnic Backpacks now available at Meadows Café. Whether you’re lounging on the lawn in Anderson Park, embarking on a hike on the Rio Grande Trail, or enjoying live tunes in the music festival tent, we’ve packed everything your family needs for the perfect picnic set amongst the beautiful sights of the season. Enjoy sandwiches, fresh salads, or flaky croissants paired with your choice of cookie or brownie, and refreshment assembled with a blanket, silverware and cups.

Day 3: Evening
Take the evening to explore Downtown Aspen for a cozy escape from the mountainside. Utilize our resort eco-friendly electric shuttle buses, running every half hour until 10:30 PM to downtown Aspen. Venture through one-of-a-kind shops and unique local history before a dinner at Aspen Public House for casual ambiance and elevated pub fare.
