The best way to see this infusion of art and nature is on our Walking Art Tour. Our self-guided tour map takes you through 31 locations, from installations to buildings, museums, earthworks and more. The Resnick Center for Herbert Bayer Studies

Bayer's modernist influence is celebrated across our campus, including The Bayer Center, further honoring his legacy through thoughtful exhibitions, and providing a dedicated space for promoting the continued study of art.

Beginning June 9, 2026, Double Take: Recurrent Dialogues in the Art of Herbert Bayer, showcases the evolution of several key motifs in Bayer’s vast output. Spanning seven decades, from 1920s Germany to 1980s Southern California, this exhibition traces Bayer’s fascination with a set of iconographic elements that regularly appear throughout his works including paintings, drawings, collages, and photographs.
